Behavioural Sciences Graduate (London)

The role

The Behavioural Sciences Graduate role sits across the Behave Consultancy and the Research Team playing a vital role in the business, realising the company vision of behaviourally led solutions in marketing. The core of the role is to help the consultancy and research teams deliver projects and develop differentiated behaviourally led insights.

Within this role the grad will get to learn and use our unique tools and capabilities. This will include a broad range of areas including using predictive eye tracking results to help optimise creative, broader audience and brand strategy work, and helping develop testing frameworks for messaging.

Our aim is for a candidate to be able to demonstrate an interest in and/or capability to learn:

  • Experience with, or knowledge of, conducting qualitative and quantitative research
  • How to create insights about audiences/consumers that can be interesting and actionable for clients
  • Use behavioural science or an understanding of human behaviour to inform insights and recommendations
  • Working with a broad range of clients and topics
  • An understanding of or interest in the media/advertising industry

We understand it may not be possible to find a candidate who is fully experienced across all these areas, so we are also interested in a candidate who can show a balance of experience with enthusiasm for our ambitions. We want a candidate who is curious, passionate about understanding people, is eager to learn and develop, and wants to work in a place that is fun, collaborative and fast paced.

What we're looking for

Essential Criteria:

  • Behavioural sciences: an academic and/or work experience in behavioural sciences and its applications
  • Research: an academic and/or work experience in conducting quantitative and qualitative research
  • Team player: must excel working in team-oriented roles that rely on the ability to collaborate with others
  • Marketing/Advertising: experience or interest in applying behavioural sciences within this field
  • Curiosity: a high level of curiosity, with a drive to learn our tools and systems, and to continually find better ways of understanding human behaviour
  • Data Analysis: comfortable with data manipulation using Excel

 

Useful Criteria:

  • Media & Insights Tools: experience using some media and insight tools such as TGI, Touchpoints, ethnographic research tools, social media discourse analysis tools, biometric tools, or others
  • Presenting: confidence in presenting with experience of building stories around key actionable insights from research
  • Presentations: comfortable using presentation software such as PowerPoint
